ACITI spoke to Jessica Giovanelli, Special Counsel with Moulis Legal, about the potential conflicts between Australia's future vehicle efficiency standards and international trade rules.
As only one of an increasing number of examples where climate policies are challenging international trade law, we then discussed the impact and implications of this clash for climate policy and international trade.
Jessica is Special Counsel at Moulis Legal and an international trade law expert. Prior to joining Moulis Legal Jessica worked for the Office of International Law in the Australian Attorney-General's Department, the World Trade Organisation, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
She has a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (International Relations) from the Australian National University, a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Diplome du Programme International, International law and politics, from Sciences Po, Paris.
