This course provides participants with a detailed understanding of the World Trade Organisation and its predecessor, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. Content the evolution of the institution from the original International Trade Organisation, the principal structures and functions of the WTO. The course will explore the impact of the GATT and WTO and its influence on global markets and trade flows. Finally, the course will examine current challenges facing the WTO with participants engaging in a discussion on the future of the organisation in light of these challenges.
