Anthony Vassiliadis
2026 ACITI Intern
Anthony is in the third year of his Law-Economics degree at the Australian National University. He has a deep interest in free-trade, and the economic benefits that are generated from increased global economic cooperation. His interest was first sparked when learning about the positive transformation Australia underwent following the Hawke-Keating administrations free trade reforms, in high school economics. This interest was strengthened through his involvement in co-founding a student society at ANU that advocated for free trade (among other things). A long participation in debating, at both the school level (including as Debating Captain) and at the university level, contributes to Anthony's conviction, skill and determination in advocating for free trade, and Australia's place as a globally interconnected nation.
On a professional front, Anthony has extensive experience as a ward clerk at the Royal North Shore Hospital. He has additionally worked casually as a bartender and interned in Mergers & Acquisitions at Ellerston Capital. More recently, he has begun working in the Legal Department and Risk & Securitisation at a Sydney bank.
